Cormac Izuchukwu impressed during his Academy season since making his senior debut off the bench in February 2021’s away victory over Glasgow Warriors before earning his first start the following month in the 49-3 demolition of defeat of Zebre at Kingspan Stadium. With a journey to Ulster that has included a stint in Scotland with Kelso RFC, Izuchukwu has already showcased his talents at international level through his involvement in the Ireland Sevens squad and the Emerging Ireland tour.
He was rewarded for his progress with a contract extension to keep him at Ulster until at least 2026.
Following the arrival of Richie Murphy as Head Coach, 'Izzy' has been performing well at blindside flanker, with an extended run in the senior side at the back end of the 2023/24 season. Those performances saw the forward called up for the Ireland squad for 2024's South Africa test tour.
