Biography

A natural leader, David McCann, the flanker took his schools’ rugby team at RBAI to the semi-finals of the 2018 Danske Bank Ulster Schools Cup. The Belfast native has also captained at Ireland U19 and U20 level and has also led the Ulster ‘A’ squad. McCann had a superb season in 2023/24, which was a real breakthrough campaign for the back-rower. He was awarded with the Bank of Ireland Men's Player of the Year award for his impressive performances.
