Jacob Stockdale

Wing

Biography

Always marked out as a teenage player of quality in 2014, while at Wallace High School, he was voted Danske Bank Ulster Schools Player of the Year. Since he burst into the senior team in 2016, Stockdale has never looked back and has become one of the top wingers in world rugby. An explosive, powerful winger, Stockdale set the 2018 Six Nations tournament alight for Ireland, as he broke the try scoring record with seven tries across the competition. He was also named the player of the championship for his stand-out performances in the green jersey. An ankle injury in 2021 took him out of action for almost a year, which he has since overcome, showing his finishing instincts on the wing are still as deadly as ever. Jacob marked his 100th cap for the province last season and hopes to continue his good form into 2023/24 for both his province and Ireland.
