Media Accreditation

Only individuals who fulfil the following criteria will be considered for media accreditation:

  • Journalists, broadcasters, and television/radio reporters employed by a recognised media outlet with NI, ROI, UK-wide and/or worldwide reach.

  • Recognised media outlets are defined as those who are registered with the Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO), Press Council of Ireland, or equivalent recognised professional body in the relevant territory.

  • Freelancers must have a letter from a Commissioning Editor/Head of Sport/Head of News, or equivalent, of the recognised media outlet they are producing content for stating that they are a representative of the outlet when accredited in its name – and this Commissioning Editor/Head of Sport/Head of News, or equivalent, must be an employee of an organisation which meets the criteria, as set out above.

  • Applicants may be asked to provide supporting evidence, which includes, but is not limited to: Rugby Writers Ireland membership (or equivalent in own territory); cuttings of, or hyperlinks to, three by-lined articles of work published by a recognised media outlet in the past 12 months; a commission for the current season by a recognised media outlet; and/or a remittance note from a recognised media outlet for paid work published in the previous season.

  • Accreditation will be issued at the discretion of Ulster Rugby, and the club retains the right to refuse media accreditation – or withdraw accreditation – at any time. We also reserve the right to update this Media Accreditation policy at any time.

  • We are unable to offer media accreditation to bloggers or individuals running fan websites.

  • Photographer accreditations for Kingspan Stadium are restricted to ensure a safe and comfortable working environment.

Ulster Rugby will send accreditation details for home games on a match-by-match basis via it's media mailing list.
