Members of Belfast City Council's Building Control Service held a charity Crossbar Challenge at Malone RFC on Friday afternoon.
Mark McCleery, Assistant Manager of Building Control Services, who arranged the event commented:
"We were looking to hold an event to raise funds for Women's Aid and given the fact that the Women's Rugby World Cup is coming to Belfast in a few weeks it made sense to do something rugby-themed. People have been keen to get involved, or if they were unable to, still throw in a few quid which we're very grateful for. The craic today has been great and we'd like to thank Malone RFC for allowing us to use their facilities. Lastly, from all at Belfast City Council Building Control Service a huge 'Good Luck!' to the Ireland Women's Team."
