Carrick Grammar School senior and medallion rugby squads have been hard at work over the past few weeks preparing for this year's Danske Bank Schools' Cup. To that end, coaches Neal Kennedy and Stephen Martin have called upon Ulster Rugby's Fitness Development Coach Robbie Bremner to assist them in physically preparing the team for their upcoming friendly fixtures. Bremner has been taking pitch based conditioning sessions with the senior squad, and will be offering assistance on all aspects of strength and conditioning of the players to the coaching staff at both senior and medallion level throughout the school term. The aim is not only to improve both the performance of the players, but also the awareness of the coaches in relation to their physical development. The Ulster Rugby coach has also been working with Ballyclare HS and Larne GS since the start of the season. This coaching assistance has been made possible due to the generous support of the NI Executive and the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure through the 'Promoting Equality, Tackling Poverty and Social Exclusion through Sport' programme.
