Wallace High School

Wallace High School has been a model of consistency throughout the latter stages of the tournament, beginning their knockout run on 17 January with a dominant 41-5 victory over Larne Grammar School. They carried that clinical form into the quarter-finals, where they recorded a disciplined 18-0 shutout against Omagh Academy to secure their semi-final berth. Their championship credentials were truly put to the test on 21 February at Rainey Endowed School in a nail-biting encounter against Coleraine Grammar School. In their closest game of the competition, Wallace showed incredible mental toughness to edge out a 14-12 win, proving they can handle the heat of a tight finish as they head into Tuesday’s decider.

Sullivan Upper School

Sullivan Upper School’s charge to the final gained serious momentum on Saturday 17 January, where they opened this stretch of the competition with a clinical 25-0 shutout against Banbridge Academy in the Round of Sixteen. Their resolve was truly tested in the quarter-finals against Methodist College; after a hard-fought 7-7 draw, the Holywood side had to dig deep for a replay at Pirrie Park on Tuesday 3 February. They showed immense composure in that high-pressure rematch to emerge as 10-3 winners. Sullivan then saved their most clinical performance for the semi-finals on 21 February, where they dismantled Royal School Armagh with an emphatic 45-0 victory, proving they possess the defensive steel and offensive flair to compete for the Medallion Shield.
