🏆 Deloitte Ulster Women's Junior Cup Final
## Co Cavan RFC
###### Captain Kate Bartley:
"Despite returning from almost two years off with the pandemic, this 2021/22 season has been the most successful one in the history of women's rugby at Cavan RFC. The numbers this year and dedication of all the team is at an all time high and I can only put that down to the growing popularity of rugby and the developments in the coverage of women's rugby in the media."
"Our league campaign was incredibly successful this season, finishing top of the leaderboard, and so it would be a momentous way to end it by winning the cup in Kingspan Stadium."
"As captain I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved this season and how we have managed to support and cheer each other on, on the good days and the bad. The experience and confidence we have gained from the start of the season to now is amazing and it's a credit to all the girls on the squad - especially all of the newbies who have really stepped up to playing in the Premiership Division."
"The whole team, coaches and club are so excited to be able to play and showcase ourselves in Kingspan Stadium. Although it's a long old drive from Cavan the support from friends and family has been immense and we hope we can do them all proud come Monday 18th. Obviously the pressure is on, facing Queens has always been a challenge for us and we have no doubt they will have done all they can to prepare for a such a big game. We know we will really have to knuckle down and focus on what they bring to Kingspan but we are really looking forward to the challenge!"
"At the end of the day its an amazing achievement for both teams to reach the Junior Cup Final and to be able to play in Kingspan Stadium representing our respective clubs and I would like to wish Queens the best of luck!"
## QUB
###### Head Coach Mark Keane:
"Overall, the season has been good so far. We managed to finish 2nd in the League which has been a great achievement but we want to finish with a trophy. Unfortunately, in the cup we have only had one game against Lisburn back in January, this has meant that the girls have only had the experience in playing in one cup game."
"Even with the lack of rugby the girls have had post-Christmas, they have been turning out on Mondays and Wednesdays to put in the hard work with the main goal at the start of the year to win a trophy at Kingspan and I fully believe in the group to do this."
"The girls are very excited to play at Kingspan, this was the main goal at the start of the year. Having been involved in finals at Kingspan before I know how much it will mean to the girls and have told them that they need to take in the whole experience and enjoy it."
"We are expecting a very physical and fast game against Cavan. Having played them twice this year, we managed to put in two very good performances and get two tight wins. Cavan won the league which shows that they are a top side and will be hard to stop, but I have full belief in my girls to go out there and get the job done."
