Ulster Rugby are partnering with Ulster University for the delivery of the second phase of our Female Coach Programme thanks to funding provided by Sport NI.
The Programme will commence in January 2018 and we are welcoming expressions of interest from any females who are currently coaching rugby regardless of age group, level or whether their players are boys or girls.
This phase of the Programme will offer two levels to cater for coaches who already have experience and those that are at the very beginning of their coaching journey.
Coaches who took part in Year 1 and more experienced coaches will look at following over the course of 4 sessions (Monday 15th January, 12th February, 26th February and 26th March):
1. The value of and how to implement reflective practice to improve their coaching
2. What is a high performing coach, putting the theory into practice
3. Mentoring in Action
Those who are completely new to coaching will look at the following 5 key areas over the course of 3 sessions (Tuesday 23rd January, Tuesday 20th February and Tuesday 13th March):
1. Leadership Skills
2. Interpersonal Communication Skills
3. Intrapersonal Reflection Skills
4. Coach Development Planning
5. Professional Collaborations
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop a community of practice of female coaches who can support one another on their coaching journeys.
All sessions will take place at Kingspan Stadium from 6:00pm - 10:00pm.
If you are interested please contact Neal Johnston on 07767 115764 for further information.
