With the four Ulster Bank League Division 1A and 1B sides playing teams from 2A and 2B there is plenty of potential for upsets.
Armagh v Ballynahinch - Wed 22nd October, 7.45pm
First up is the match at the Palace grounds on Wed night when Armagh welcome Ulster's number one club side Ballynahinch. There is room for a potential shock in this game with former Ballynahinch number 8 Neil Faloon a key inspirational figure head for the Orchard side and no doubt intent on getting one over on his former team mates. With Ulster Ravens also in action this weekend, Derek Suffern will take the opportunity to give fringe players another run out.
Belfast Harlequins v City of Derry - Thu 23rd October, 8.00pm
In the second quarter final at Deramore Park on Thursday night Belfast Harlequins entertain City of Derry. The North West side stunned Ballymena last Saturday to win their Senior League encounter. Quins are coming of the back of consecutive weekend wins over Dungannon. Coach Adam Larkin was present to oversee his 2nd XV win their Millar McCall Wylie Junior Cup game at Donaghadee last weekend, and may reward some of those players with game time against City of Derry, especially with Ravens call ups and a lengthy injury list. Derry will look to cause an upset knowing they are just two wins from a final appearance at Kingspan Stadium.
Ballymena v Banbridge - Fri 24th October, 7.30pm
Friday night will see Banbridge travelling to Eaton Park, hoping to repeat their Senior League win at the same venue last season. Ballymena received a wake up call at Judges Road last Saturday and will want no slip ups. With a head-to-head encounter coming up with Galwegians in Galway the following weekend, coach Andy Graham will want a morale-boosting win and last four place in the Senior Cup.
Rainey OB v Malone - Fri 24th October, 7.30pm
Rainey play Malone on their new 3G pitch at Hatrick Park in Magherfelt on Friday night. Both teams need a win before the resumption of the Ulster Bank League. Injuries and unavailabilities continue to influence selection for both coaches, but spectators should be treated to a highly entertaining cup tie by the two young and talented sides.
