Ulster Rugby has secured £11,000 of grant funding from the Public Health Agency for a Health and Wellbeing programme.
The programme has been developed in order to kick-start the implementation of the Ulster Rugby Health and Wellbeing Action Plan which is aligned to the Ulster Rugby Strategy, “Rugby at the Heart of the Community” (link to download below).
Activities will include a Schools educational health and wellbeing programme, female focused Get Fit with Ulster Rugby boot camps, an over 50’s social inclusion programme, a male focused get active programme targeting over 35’s and a mental health awareness campaign.
The Take 5 Regional Campaign will be promoted throughout the project (details can be found at www.mindingyourhead.info).
Activities commenced in October 2016 and will run until March 2017 with the aim of improving physical and mental health.
