### 2022/23 Girls' U18 League Winners - Enniskillen RFC
Coach Ian Ross:
Enniskillen Girls youth section set off in September 2022 aiming to defend a very proud record of holding all 3 Age Grade Cups, and two of the League titles from 2021/22.
This would be a huge task as we knew other clubs were noticeably getting better throughout that year.
The girls moving up into U18 rugby were excellent in both number and quality and they joined an upper age group that had the superb experience of playing alongside experienced Ulster players such as Sophie Barrett, Aoife Keaney, Moya Hill, Cora Balfour, Farrah Cartin McCloskey and Sophie Meeke.
The upcoming U18 league fixtures threw up many challenges but this group of extraordinarily girls took everything in their stride and they kicked off at Home against Virginia (the only other standalone club in the league this year disappointingly) with a win.
They then went away to neighbours at Clogher Valley/Cavan/Monaghan to record a second win.
The following five fixtures against all the other amalgamated teams resulted in 4 wins and a concession and the highlight of these was the away trip to Rainey to face Rainey/Ballymoney/Ballymena where a cracking game took place.
Overall the girls and coaches were hugely happy with an unbeaten League season with 6 wins and a concession and throughout those games scoring over 60 tries, spread throughout the squad of 23, and conceding only 11 scores.
All in all, a hugely pleasing first phase of the season.
### 2022/23 Girls' U16 League Winners - Limavady RFC
Coaches Stephen Rodgers and Everett Sherrard:
From their first game away to Ballymoney RFC back in September the Limavady U16 girls demonstrated a foundation in their performance which gave their coaches an indication of how competitive the team could be.
With their dedication and commitment to training, their skill set and drive to win grew as they played each game, culminating in massive performances against strong opposition in their Round Seven (vs. Enniskillen RFC) and Eight (vs. Banbridge/Lurgan/Newry) games to clinch the League title undefeated.
The current group of U16 girls reflect the progression of the girls youth game in general in Ulster, drawing from a diverse background with several of them having played for years through the Mini Rugby section at Limavady, along with a number of girls who had never played sport before, gaining in confidence and self-belief.
As coaches, it has been a real privilege to be part of the team, supporting their technical development and watching them realise their full potential. Winning the league has been a fantastic achievement for the girls and for the Club. They have been working for four years to get to this level and to be crowned as U16 League champions means the world to them.
Even after their gruelling final, must win game against a combined team of Banbridge/Lurgan/Newry, their joyous on-pitch celebrations were testament to how much it meant to them. All of us at the Club are so proud of them, the core values of the game (Respect, Inclusivity, Integrity, Fun and Excellence) they have displayed and all of the work they have put into forging this team to achieve this result.
### 2022/23 Girls' U14 League Winners - Virginia RFC
Coach Schalk van Lill:
The Virginia U14 girls are delighted to win this new league after the heartache of being beaten in the final in last year's cup competition. We are very proud and happy to be crowned the winners of the Ulster League.
In the words of our President, Edwin Lochaden, "..winning the league is a result of working together as a team and great determination by each and everyone of the girls. A great achievement".
This is an historic occasion for the club with hopefully, many more to come. The future of ladies' rugby is bright at Virginia RFC .
