Ulster Rugby has received funding from The Executive Office Central Good Relations Fund to engage with schools in the delivery of a cultural identity and respect through sport project.Â
Pupils will take part in a range of projects including ‘My Story Your Story’ workshops, interactive team-building workshops using rugby robots, educational cultural visits to The Nevin Spence Centre at Kingspan Stadium, and values based rugby sessions.
Commenting on the award, David Johnston, Ulster Rugby Funding Manager, said:
“Ulster Rugby is committed to using sport for community good, be that to promote good relations, improve health and wellbeing, or to engage with those from social deprivation. This project is a good fit with our strategic direction and we’re delighted and thankful that The Executive Office have seen the worth in providing investment to enable delivery to commence”.
