Ulster Under20s gained a hard fought draw against Leinster Under20s in Donnybrook but it wasn't enough to prevent the home Province regaining the Under20 Provincial Championship.

Ulster got the first try of the game after just five minutes when Number 8, Lorcan Dow, battled his way over in the left hand corner. Centre, Mark Best, hit an excellent conversion from the touchline to make it seven points to nil.

Leinster got back level ten minutes later, Cian Kelleher burst through two tackles in midfield to score under the posts.  Byrne converted to make it seven points all.

Ulster had the territorial advantage and in the last seconds of the half, the ball was moved across the back line and Ross Adair beat two men to score in the corner. Ulster 12 Leinster 7.

At the start of the second half, Leinster got back on level terms with their second try of the game to level things at 12 all.

However Leinster went down to 13 men with one player off with a yellow and another with a red and Ulster captialised.  A great high ball from Josh Bingham was attacked by Adair, Busby collected the rebound but still battled his way over to score.

A significant point in the game with 20 minutes to go when Lorcan Dow looked to be over the line and also that he had grounded the ball but the referee judged that he had knocked on in the tackle.

The conversion was missed but Ulster were ahead, but with just under ten minutes to go, Leinster scored their third try of the night with Ian Fitzpatrick crossing to level the game.

The conversion was missed and the game was drawn. Leinster won the interprovincial championship but Ulster Under 20s can be extremely proud of the effort and performances that they have put in over recent weeks.
