Moneyrea PS (two teams) The cross community blitz was organised by Ulster Rugby's East Belfast Community Rugby Coach, Neill Alcorn, who said: "It was great to see some of the kids take part in their first ever Mini Rugby Blitz. The event had participating schools from all areas of south east Belfast. This is the culmination of 6 weeks of coaching within these schools and hopefully the kids will continue to play and develop their skills." Alcorn continued: "I'd like to thank the teachers for agreeing to take part in the blitz and also Malone RFC who very kindly agreed to host the event." Community Rugby coaches Alasdair McKee and Roy Lawton assisted Alcorn in driving mini buses to and from the event and refereeing some of the matches. Adam Cromwell, who was on placement with Ulster Rugby this week, also helped out with setting up and refereeing. The event was made possible due to the generous support of the NI Executive and the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure through the 'Promoting Equality, Tackling Poverty and Social Exclusion through Sport' programme.
