BELFAST HARLEQUINS v COOKE (2.00pm)
In the previous round Harlequins 2nd XV defeated the PSNI 85-0 and Cooke recorded an impressive 34-21 win at in form Academy. Cooke 1st XV have not played a match since the 18th January when they recorded a disappointing loss of 15-14 at home to Ballymoney. In the 2nd XV league Harlequins have won six out of eight matches played. Cooke definitely have the talent within their playing squad to come out as victors at the end of this game. However, it remains a difficult match to call, but at this stage Cooke should be going in favourites.
CIVIL SERVICE v INSTONIANS 2nds (1.00pm)
The Stormont playing surface will suit the young Instonians side who like to play open running rugby. Civil Service, who sit 5th in Qualifying League Four, will have to perform to defeat this ypung team. They have lost their last six league games. They last won a match at home to BHSFP on the 30th November when they won 19-12. In the 2nd XV league Instionians have won four out of their eight league matches. In the Junior Cup they recorded an impressive win at Carrickfergus before they were defeated by Coleraine. Instonians 2nd XV will be going into this match as favourites to win.
MALONE 2nd XV v GROSVENOR
Both sides were due to play each other in a Conference league game on the 4th February, but this match had to be postponed due to a water logged pitch. Grosvenor are capable of winning this tie as they defeated Ballymena 2nd XV 32-27 in the Junior Cup at Belmont back in September. They always seem to raise their game when playing the stronger sides. In their last league outing at home to league leaders Ballyclare they were defeated 48-14. But Grosvenor will remain the underdogs as they enter this fixture.
QUEEN'S 2nds v CIYMS
Current Cup holders CIYMS will be looking to get their season back on track after four consecutive league defeats. They come up against a Queens side who are undefeated in seven league games in Section Two of the 2nd XV league. CIYMS Captain Stuart Ferguson has a talented playing squad around him, that are not performing. Encouraging opening starts to games have not been sustained, resulting in heavy defeats against Clogher Valley and Portadown. On a firm playing surface the students will look to move the big CIYMS pack around the park. Queens may be depleted, due to representative calls, injuries and their 1st XV playing a USL game at Dungannon. For this reason CIYMS will be the favourites to defeat the Queens side.
