Omagh Academicals RFC have been crowned as the 2016/17 Kukri Ulster Rugby Championship Division 1 winners, following their 18-6 win over Carrickfergus on Saturday afternoon.
Omagh will now join their Inter-Provincial counterparts in the All Ireland Provincial League Championship, where all teams will play off in a round-robin format with the winners being promoted to Division 2C of the Ulster Bank All-Ireland League.
The second placed team in the Championship will play off against the team finishing second bottom of Division 2C. The Division 2C club will have home advantage for the playoff match, and dual status players may not be used in this game.
