Players and staff work with Bloemfontein charity

Ulster Rugby players and staff attended St. Andrew's School today (Thursday) to coach and mingle with children from Bloemfontein townships, in conjunction with local charity Mosamaria.

Mosamaria runs four successful projects across Bloemfontein, all of which tackle the various problems associated with AIDS/HIV; an illness which affects six million people in South Africa today.

The squad were joined by around 30 children from the Bochabela township for some fun rugby games and activities, before distributing fruit, bottled water and items of kit to their new fans.

Mosamaria was started in 2003 as part of the response to the call by Archbishop Njongonkulu Ndungane of the Anglican Province of Southern Africa, for the Anglican Church to respond in some meaningful way to the Pandemic of HIV/AIDS, which was and still is devastating Sub-Saharan Africa.
