The opposition
The match will be a good opportunity for both sides to get to know one another, as the two sides will meet again in a few months time, with Ulster hosting Exeter in the pool stage of the Investec Champions Cup in January.
Exeter Chiefs, who won their first Champions Cup in 2020, finished in seventh position in the Gallagher Premiership, with eight wins from their eighteen fixtures.
The Devon side advanced in the pool stage of the Champions Cup, however their journey ended at the Quarter-Final stage, after losing away to the eventual champions, Toulouse by 64-26.
Exeter Chiefs played Welsh side, Ospreys, last weekend at Sandy Park in a pre-season friendly, and came out the wrong side of the scoreline in a tight 10-14 defeat.
Last time out
The last time Ulster and Exeter locked horns at Sandy Park was in 2017, when the two sides faced each other in the Champions Cup.
Exeter Chiefs took the win on the night scoring five tries on the evening to win by 31-19. Sean Reidy and Charles Piutau scored a try each for Ulster.
Current Senior Men's players, Kieran Treadwell, Jacob Stockdale and David Shanahan all played on the night.

Players to watch
Ethan Roots:
A combative forward who joined Exeter Chiefs last year after playing for the Ospreys, 25-year-old Roots enjoyed a fantastic season in the Gallagher Premiership, putting in performances that earned him an international call-up to Steve Borthwick's England side as the back rower made his debut in the 2024 Guinness Six Nations. Roots won Player of the match on his international debut against Italy.
Jacques Vermeulen:
Former Sharks back-rower, Jacques Vermeulen, captains Exeter Chiefs. A player that the word 'barnstorming' probably describes perfectly. The South African's work around the park, together with his aggressive defence and his ability to score tries has made him a key component of Rob Baxter’s Chiefs pack. He is one of the few who remain from the Chiefs' 2020 double-winning year.
Dan Frost:
Quite simply a hooker that thinks he's a centre at heart! Frost loves a break with ball in hand. An athletic hooker, good at the set piece but even better in open play. Energetic and enthusiastic, he often offers himself as a support line in attack.
