Preview | Ospreys (H)

A look ahead to the province's BKT United Rugby Championship Round 5 fixture against the Ospreys at Kingspan Stadium.

Richie Murphy's Ulster side will be aiming to make it two home URC wins on the trot, following Round 4's interpro derby victory over Connacht in a thriller that saw nine tries on the night.

That victory was the perfect response for the Ulstermen, after a tough tour to South Africa that saw defeats against Emirates Lions and Vodacom Bulls.

Ulster take on an Ospreys side that have been making strides forward under head coach, Toby Booth, despite a difficult start to their URC campaign.

Round 4 seen the Welsh side lose to a strong Vodacom Bulls side by 19-29 at Swansea.com Stadium.

The Swansea side shocked many when they recorded a 37-24 victory over DHL Stormers in Round 2, with Jac Morgan, Morgan-Williams, Dan Edwards and a penalty try giving the hosts the victory. Edwards also scored a drop goal to mark a fine performance from the Welsh ten.

Ulster will have to be aware of the Welsh side's threat from turnover ball, with Toby Booth's side ranked second in the league last season for turnovers won. (145)

Players to watch

Dan Edwards: The top points scorer for the Ospreys after four rounds this season, Edwards is carrying on where he left off last year. An excellent kicker and a good reader of the game, Ulster fans will be all too aware of his kicking threat after his last minute drop goal won the game against Ulster at the start of the year in Wales.

Morgan Morris: A try-scorer in Round 4, the 26-year-old’s back-row forward was a key figure for Ospreys last season as they clinched a Play-Off spot, winning multiple Player of the Match awards.

His ability to win turnovers, make crucial tackles, and provide dynamic support in attack makes him a consistent game-changer for the team.

Phil Cokanasiga: Another signing moving from the English Premiership to Wales, Cokanasiga will bring industry and guile to the Ospreys backline. The younger brother of England and Bath winger Joe, the 23-year-old is looking for a breakout year.
