Banbridge host County Down side Ballynahinch and Malone welcome Belfast rivals Queen's University. Both games will attract large local support with the 'bragging rights' very much at stake.

Banbridge v Ballynahinch
Rifle Park, 7.30pm

After two opening league defeats Banbridge bounced back with a hard earned Senior Cup win at Armagh last Saturday. Ballynahinch coach Derek Sufferin will want an improved display from his XV following a rusty performance in their narrow win at Malone. With the All-Ireland League commencing on Saturday 28th September, both teams know how important it is to build momentum. There is room for a potential upset in this game with the Bann hoping to secure their first Senior League win of the season.

Malone v Queen's University
Gibson Park, 7.30pm

At Gibson Park, free scoring Queen's will provide a stern test for Jacque Benade's young squad. Having won pre-season sevens trophies, along with the Dudley Cup in their win against Trinity last week, the students have shown good form to date this season. This was backed up last Saturday when they proved too strong for Harlequins in the Senior Cup. It's a difficult outcome to call but Queen's should start as slight favourites.

Dungannon v Ards
Stevenson Park, 7.45pm

Ards lost their last league outing to Queen's 8-6, but the influence of Stewart Porter appears to have turned the fortunes of the Hamilton Park club around following years of relegation battles in the All-Ireland League. There is a real potential for Ards to cause an upset in this match but home advantage should see Dungannon earn the points.

City of Derry v Armagh
Judge's Road, 8.00pm

City of Derry should prove too strong for Armagh after their emphatic cup win at Rainey on Saturday. Andy Hughes will have his Armagh team well prepared and don't underestimate the fighting qualities of his squad, who continue to improve.

Belfast Harlequins v Ballymena
Deramore Park, 7.30pm

Belfast Harlequins and Ballymena meet at Deramore Park following defeats in recent cup and league matches. Both coaches know the importance of building confidence in their preparation for the All-Ireland League.

Instonians v Rainey OB
Shaw's Bridge, 7.30pm

On paper you would predict Rainey to win comfortably but recent wins by Instonians firsts and seconds will have lifted the mood of Wilbur Leacock's squad.  Rainey will be reeling from their humiliating heavy loss at home to City of Derry in the Senior Cup last Saturday.
