Support Extern’s Gift of Support appeal this Christmas

This Christmas, Ulster Rugby will be encouraging supporters to donate to Extern’s Gift of Sport appeal so that some of the most vulnerable young people in the province can benefit from the power of sport to change lives.

From rugby balls and tennis racquets to t-shirts and water-bottles, every donation this Christmas to Ulster Rugby’s charity partner, Extern, will help local children staying at one of the organisation’s Safe Havens.

Supporters can give by dropping off their donations at the Kukri Store, or the reception of the Admin Building, at Kingspan Stadium, up until Thursday 23 December. There will also be a collection point at the upcoming Heineken Champions Cup home game versus Northampton Saints this Friday (KO 8pm).

Roy Smyth, Manager of Extern’s Kinnahalla Safe Haven, said:

“Sport plays such a big part in helping us to connect with the young people we support every day through our Safe Havens. It can break down barriers and give young people the confidence to interact with others and express themselves in a positive way.

“By giving the Gift of Sport, and generously donating an item to our Safe Havens this Christmas, you can ensure that the young people we support will have the opportunity to experience the power of sport to transform lives.”

If you’re out shopping this Christmas, please consider buying an extra gift for Extern, if you can. Items that will benefit young people across the province include:
