World Rugby Chairman Bill Beaumont said: "In recent years, we have seen the Women's Rugby World Cup go from strength to strength and it is now one of the most anticipated and popular international rugby tournaments in the world. In 2014, the tournament broke all kinds of attendance, viewership and social media engagement records and we expect next year's event in Ireland to continue that upward trend.

"Women's rugby is one of the fastest growing team sports in the world and the way this tournament has grown is inspiring a new generation of girls to pick up a rugby ball and run with it. And with the success of the women's rugby sevens event at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, it is an exciting time to be involved in the women's game generally. I'd like to thank the IRFU for embracing this opportunity to stage the Women's Rugby World Cup and I am sure it will be another great success for global rugby."

Briggs said: "It is hard to believe that it is just one year to the final of the Women's Rugby World Cup in the magnificent Kingspan Stadium. We have a huge year ahead of us to build our game, starting with the November internationals in UCD and followed by the Six Nations. We will be looking to continue building from there so that we are peaking for the World Cup. I am delighted that we will play at Kingspan Stadium on both the semi-finals and finals day and I'm sure that supporters will have two great days out."

Coghlan added: "The momentum is really starting to build now, and with the logo launched and the finals tickets now on sale, I am calling on Irish people to '#BringIt' for Ireland's Women's Rugby World Cup.

"It is fantastic that due to the structure of the tournament, Ireland is guaranteed to play in front of home supporters on both the semi-finals and finals day. With two fantastic days of rugby, fun and celebration guaranteed, I urge all Irish rugby fans to snap up these great-priced tickets fast."

Twelve teams will compete for the biggest prize in Women's Rugby. The top seven teams from the 2014 Women's Rugby World Cup in France automatically qualified for next year's tournament. They are; hosts Ireland, defending champions England, 2014 runners-up Canada, New Zealand, Australia, France and the United States.

These teams have since been joined by Italy and Wales, who were the top two ranked sides outside of England, France and Ireland across the 2015 and 2016 Women's Six Nations. The remaining three qualifiers will be determined by the end of 2016.

As the host nation, Ireland will be guaranteed to play in Kingspan Stadium on both the Finals and Semi-Finals Day.
