Last weekend the Ravens suffered their second defeat in three matches in the B&I Cup, losing by 41 points to 22 to Ayr in Millbrae. This week, outhalf James McKinney gave us a run down of what exactly went wrong and how Ulster will seek revenge at home this weekend: "Our error count was far too high, we gave them space to play in and made foolish mistakes. This time around it is about being more precise and eradicating the simple mistakes." He says. Paddy Wallace who captained the side after returning from an injury which he picked up in February was a massive support to McKinney who found the grueling defeat difficult to take: "Having Paddy beside me was a massive help at the weekend, he knows exactly what he's doing, he has been around for a long time. He was definitely a calming influence in Ayr and has helped me to get over the disappointment of that game and to move on this week. It was great to see him back and it's just a pity on his first run out the team didn't do too well. The plan for this week is to get the head down and focus, to rectify the mistakes we made against Ayr away and hopefully we can turn things around in front of a home crowd at Deramore on Friday. We have seen what they can do on the pitch, what their strengths and weaknesses are and it's time for us to get the basics right and make amends for last weekend." If you wish to go along and support your Ulster Ravens, Deramore Park gates open at 19.00 and tickets can be purchased on the gate. Tickets are priced at £8 for adults, £15 for a family ticket (2 adults, 2 children), £5 for Youth and OAPs and free of charge for those under 12.
