Ulster Rugby concludes the second year of it's official charity partnership with Include Youth by donating £18,500 to the local youth charity.
Include Youth works to support children and young people throughout Northern Ireland, who are in or leaving care or from a disadvantaged community; helping them to improve their employability, increase their confidence and develop their self-esteem to ensure they reach their full potential.
As well as helping to raise the profile of Include Youth and boosting much needed income through a Family Fun Day, Corporate Golf Day, Awards Dinner Ballot and in-stadium collections, the partnership also succeeded in providing young people with work experience, career advice and interview skills training at Kingspan Stadium this season.
Another highlight from 2017/18 was the Christmas Present Appeal, whereby staff, players and supporters generously donated Christmas presents to young people living in care. These gifts were handed over by Stuart McCloskey, Tommy Bowe, Marcell Coetzee and Chris Henry at a Christmas dinner celebration hosted by Ulster Rugby at the stadium.
Paddy Mooney, Director of Include Youth, said, “The staff, players and supporters of Ulster Rugby have been unfaltering in their support and generosity towards Include Youth throughout this second year of our partnership.
“We cannot thank you enough for your kind donation of £18,500 which will go towards tackling youth unemployment, supporting education and qualifications, boosting the confidence of our young people and delivering positive experiences they will never forget.”
Graffin Parke, President of IRFU Ulster Branch, also comments, “As this season comes to an end, we can reflect with great satisfaction and pride on all of the hard work that has once again gone into our charity partnership.
“I am extremely proud of our association with Include Youth and I would like to say a very big thank you to the supporters for helping us to raise such a significant amount for this local youth charity.”
