Ulster Rugby, supported by Bank of Ireland, is delighted to announce the launch its first virtual reality (VR) project.
Users will be able to experience behind-the-scenes match night action by viewing interactive content through VR headsets.
The 3-minute clip, developed by Belfast-based tech firm, Retinize, with support from NI Screen, was shot at this season’s games against Connacht and Dragons. It features highlights of the players’ pre-match routine, including the team talk by captain Rory Best, as well as on-pitch action and reaction from the crowd.
Ulster Rugby’s VR Experience will be available at all upcoming Ulster home fixtures, will be included as part of our stadium tours, and will be used at a variety of community engagement events.
Supporters attending Ulster v Benetton at Kingspan Stadium this Friday will get a first opportunity to try it out. To participate, please visit the Seminar Room, which is accessed through the side entrance of the Abbey Insurance Family Stand, before the match.
VR is an interactive computer-generated experience taking place within a simulated environment. This immersive environment will allow users to feel part of the experience.
