The 30-year-old tighthead prop has been capped 26 times for Los Pumas and has played in the Rugby Championship and Rugby World Cup for his country.
He joins Ulster Rugby after a stint at English Prem side, Newcastle Red Bulls, where an ACL injury sustained on international duty in the 2024 Rugby Championship curtailed his playing time.
The experienced prop from Córdoba has also played for English side Saracens, winning a Premiership title in 2023 and previously enjoyed a successful five-year spell with BKT United Rugby Championship side Zebre Parma.
A strong scrummager, ‘Lolo’ brings a wealth of experience to a young group of props at Ulster Rugby.
Ulster Rugby’s General Manager, Rory Best, commented:
“We are delighted to be bringing in someone of Eduardo’s top-level international experience, quality and profile into the squad this summer.
“A key focus of our recruitment for next season has been to target adding more leadership and physicality to our forward pack, and Eduardo will be an exciting addition to our squad.
“He brings a winning mentality, with a drive to get back into the international set-up with Argentina and I know that he is eager to get going.
“We have a number of young props coming through the system who will benefit from training and competing against him in training.”
Bello commented:
“I am very happy to be signing for one of the most exciting sides in European Rugby and feel very grateful for the opportunity.
“It is a very talented young team, and I enjoyed watching their performances last season across the URC and the Challenge Cup.
“From a personal point of view, I’m very motivated to show what I can bring to this team and I’m very excited to experience a new adventure for me and my family.
“To the Ulster supporters, I can’t wait to play in an Ulster jersey and experience the famous home support at Affidea Stadium!”
