Sunday saw the second round of fixtures in the Women’s Premiership and Championship 1 and 2.
Queens University and Banbridge are the early pace setters in the Premiership, while in Championship A, Omagh, Dungannon and Randalstown are the only unbeaten teams left standing after two rounds of fixtures.
In Championship B, Monaghan lead the way, but Lurgan are hot on their heels in a very competitive division.
Banbridge travelled to Eaton Park on Sunday and came away with a bonus-point 24-10 win. Two tries from Ellen Buller and one from Adele Buller helped Banbridge to a 19-5 half-time lead.
Ballymena cut the gap to nine-points early in the second half, but Holly Mullholland’s intercept try sealed the points for the Rifle Park side.
Queens remain level with Banbridge at the top following a 45-12 win over Malone, while Clogher Valley proved too strong for Premiership newcomers Virginia at The Cran.
Randalstown sit top of Championship A East following a 35-7 win at Chambers Park against Portadown.
Ballynahinch sit three points off in second place thanks to a 28-19 win over Lisburn, while Belfast Harlequins celebrated their first win of the season with a 28-0 success over Ophir.
In Championship A West, Omagh and Dungannon maintained their perfect starts to the season.
At the Thomas Mellon Playing Fields, Omagh saw off City of Armagh 28-5. In Coleraine, Dungannon were made to fight for their 29-20 win. Coleraine did enough to claim a try scoring bonus-point.
At Judges Road, Letterkenny claimed the bragging rights in the North-West with a 52-17 win over City of Derry.
Game of the day was the contest of Lurgan and Monaghan at Pollock Park. After a 15-try epic, Monaghan emerged victorious on an astonishing 46-43 scoreline thanks to a try with the final play of the game.
North Down had home advantage against Strabane for their first game of the season, and they made full use of it to earn a 36-7 win.
