The draw for the 1st round of the Bank of Ireland Towns Cup has taken place. The draw took place in the President’s Suite prior to Ulster's URC opener against Edinburgh.
In attendance where representatives of all competing clubs as well as IRFU Ulster Branch President Greg Irwin and Nuala McDaid, Bank of Ireland Magherafelt Branch Manager who both conducted the draw.
In the Preliminary Round, City of Derry will host Academy and Enniskillen 2XV will take on Randalstown.
These fixtures will take place this coming weekend, 3rd October, with the winners advancing to the 1st Round proper which will take place on 24th October.
Holders Dromore along with Omagh, Portadown and Lurgan received a bye into round two due to their involvement in the All-Ireland Junior Cup.
Teams beaten in the 1st round will go on to compete for the McCrea Cup.
