Joe Schmidt Speaks to Ulster Rugby TV
New Coach Development Advisor Joe Schmidt has spoken to Ulster Rugby TV for the first time since taking up his consultancy role with the province.
One of the most respected coaches in world rugby, Schmidt recently concluded his tenure as Wallabies Head Coach before joining Ulster Rugby to support the development of coaches across the province. The former Leinster and Ireland Head Coach will play a key role in strengthening a connected coaching pathway spanning schools, clubs, age-grade programmes and the Academy.
During his first visit to Ulster, Schmidt discussed what attracted him to the role, the importance of investing in coaches, and how developing a strong coaching pathway can help drive long-term success across the game.
The New Zealander also shared his thoughts on the coaching talent already present within the province and outlined how mentorship, collaboration and continuous learning can help coaches at every stage of their journey.
