There’s another full programme of Championship fixtures to look forward to this weekend with a number of key fixtures down for decision.
In Championship 1, the clash of unbeaten Dromore and Limavady is one that catches the eye, and there’s a similar scenario in Championship 2 where unbeaten Strabane and Carrickfergus go head-to-head at Bradley Way.
Early pacesetters in Championship 3, Grosvenor face a stern test of their league credentials as they go up against Belfast High School Former Pupils.
A large crowd will be expected at Barben Hill as table toppers Dromore welcome Limavady.
Dromore have been in free scoring form this term and sit proudly top of Championship 1 with 15 points.
Limavady have accumulated 14 points from their outings and will have taken great heart from their bonus-point win in Bangor last weekend.
Also in the promotion mix are Omagh. They welcome Bangor to the Thomas Mellon Playing Fields aiming to preserve their 100% start to the season.
Ards will be hoping that their early season injury crisis will have eased in time before they travel to face Portadown, while the clash of Lurgan and Cooke could be a tie that could go right to the wire.
At Deramore Park, Belfast Harlequins will be hoping for a change of fortunes against Ballymoney.
Strabane’s clash with Carrickfergus is the standout fixture in Championship 2.
The Tyrone men delivered another big result last weekend against CIYMS, and they’ll be keen to add another promotion chasing rival to their list of scalps.
Both have returned three wins from three outings, which means something has got to give on Saturday afternoon.
Lisburn return to Belmont Road to face CIYMS two weeks after their SolarFix NI Junior Shield success in the hope that lightning will strike twice.
They then followed up on that win with a victory on the road to Coleraine last week. But they’ll be coming up against a home teaming smarting from last week’s defeat to Strabane and keen to get back to winning ways.
Randalstown will be hoping home advantage can drive them to a first win of the season against City of Derry.
Academy take on Larne at Roughfort while Letterkenny will host Coleraine
Grosvenor are one of two teams in Championship 3 with a 100% return from their opening two games.
After putting a dent in the promotion hopes of Donaghadee last week, they face another team with promotion aspirations this week in Belfast High School Former Pupils.
Four points currently separate the sides, and BHSFP will want to cut that gap if they want to retain any hopes of a promotion push.
Sitting joint top with Grosvenor are Virginia.
The Caven men have been in free scoring form this season and they’ll hope to keep their perfect start intact at home to Civil Service.
Ulster University and Monaghan bounced back from opening day defeats to register wins over Cavan and PSNI last week, and they go head-to-head in Coleraine, while at Donaldson Park, Donaghadee welcome Cavan to North Down.
Finally at Newforge, PSNI take on Newry.
