Dungannon are the only unbeaten side left in Ulster Under 18 Division 1 after last weekend’s second round of fixtures.
The Stevenson Park side edged a tense affair against Banbridge, 26-24, to take early control of their section.
It gets very congested below Dungannon with four sides locked on four-points from their opening two games.
City of Armagh and Virginia are two of those sides, and at the Palace Grounds on Saturday, Armagh prevailed against their Cavan rivals 24-19.
Joining them and Banbridge on four-points are Letterkenny.
The Donegal side registered their first win of the season thanks to a 42-18 win over Coleraine.
Ballymena and Ballymoney sit top of Under 16 East 1, while over in West 1, it’s City of Armagh and Letterkenny who are the early pacesetters.
Ballymena and Ballymoney are also locked together at the top of Under 14 East Division 1. Both had impressive wins on the road last weekend with Ballymena seeing off Rainey 24-5, while Ballymena bettered Instonians 35-12 at Shaw’s Bridge.
In the West Division, City of Armagh won a high scoring encounter against Virginia, 36-26, and they’re joined at the top of the table by Strabane. The Tyrone side travelled the short distance to Letterkenny and came home with a 29-21 win.
