We recently hit a very special milestone at Ulster Rugby, the 1000th girl to register in the youth game here in Ulster.
We wanted to celebrate this by visiting Katie, our 1000th Ulster girl, at her club, Portadown, and presenting her with tickets to the upcoming Six Nations game, here at Kingspan Stadium.
Paula Stewart, Chair of the Ulster Rugby Women & Girls' Committee said, “This milestone marks a momentous achievement for everyone involved in developing and supporting the women and girls game in Ulster. Congratulations to the staff, the volunteers, the coaches and the parents who show up week in and week out. But most importantly, congratulations to all the players who showcase our sport so well.”
Mollie Davies, our Women & Girls' Development Manager said, "We’re delighted to have hit such a significant milestone within the Women and Girls’ Game in Ulster. What once was a hugely ambitious target has been achieved following the hard work and dedication from all involved. It’s such an exciting time to be a part of the sport, and we can’t wait to see more girls like Katie get involved and experience the enjoyment of the game."
