Championship organisers have confirmed the 2019/20 Guinness PRO14 fixture schedule, including dates and kick-off times up to round 20.
Ulster Rugby will have 11 home fixtures this season, with 8 of those scheduled for Friday evenings. This news has been welcomed by Ulster CEO Jonny Petrie:
“We understand the importance of Friday night rugby here at Ulster, so it’s been very pleasing to be able to work with the team at PRO14 Rugby and Premier Sports to make sure that we commit to that time slot as much as possible going into the new season.
“Off the back of a positive year, it’s crucial that we keep building - making Kingspan Stadium the place to be on a Friday evening is a big part of that.”
Dan McFarland’s men will kick off their campaign with a home clash against Ospreys on Friday 27th September (7.35pm).
The squad will then travel to South Africa for back-to-back fixtures against Toyota Cheetahs and Isuzu Southern Kings, before returning for home ties with Cardiff Blues and Zebre Rugby Club.
The first inter-provincial clash will be against Munster (away) in Round 6 on Saturday 9th November, with the first home inter-pro against Connacht in Round 9 (Friday 27th December, 7.35pm).
The last match of the regular season will once again see Ulster face reigning PRO14 champions, Leinster, on the last weekend in May.
