37 clubs to take part in 'Let's Play' events

Ulster Rugby is set to host 14 events involving young players from 37 clubs in the latest phase of our Let’s Play programme. Sessions will be held right across the province, as part of our continued effort to reshape, reenergise, and rebuild youth rugby by providing more ways to play. In addition to 15-a-side, Ulster Rugby Development Staff running these events will also have the option to offer 12-a-side, 10-a-side, Sevens, X7s and Rugby X [5-a-side]. Ulster Participation Rugby Manager Chris Shields said: “The series of regional ‘Let’s Play Rugby’ events are very simply about providing opportunities to play, regardless of numbers or ability. “Removing the barriers and creating a fun, positive and inclusive environment while playing with your friends is key. “Ulster Rugby is fully committed to creating choice, and these types of social and alternative formats of the game are at the forefront of a wider player-centred participation initiative. “The Adult Participation Review carried out by Ulster identified a real desire for a wider variety of club-based activity, and these ‘Let’s Play Rugby’ sessions meet that demand head-on.”
