Last Wednesday 8th March saw Queens University host the second instalment of the 3rd level female rugby blitz at their sports grounds at upper Malone.
With the sun shining the afternoon's focus was on tackle technique followed by round-robin cross pitch seven’s matches. Everyone was keen to get stuck in and we saw some outstanding tackles and slick tries, creating a wonderful afternoon of rugby.
Ireland out-half Nora Stapleton was on hand to show support and chat about the Woman’s World Cup, and next week’s Six Nations decider where Ireland host England at Donnybrook, Dublin.
