5 Things To Know On Match Day!

Everything you need to know before tonight's RaboDirect PRO12 game against Scarlets at Ravenhill Stadium, kick off 19.15.



1. TICKETS: The RaboDirect PRO12 Round 14 game between Ulster and Scarlets at Ravenhill tonight will now kick-off at 7.15pm, ten minutes later than originally scheduled, the organisers of the league announced yesterday.

Tonight is another Ravenhill sell out. If you purchased tickets for this game that are to be collected, the Ticket Booth will be open from 5.30pm and is located at the Onslow Parade gate on the Ravenhill Road side of the ground. For more ticket information you can visit the Ticket Office (located behind the Food Village in the reception of Head Office) from 5.30pm, during the match and 30 minutes after the final whistle.

Tonight the Ticket Office will be selling SPECIAL EDITION calendars signed by Ruan Pienaar, Tommy Bowe, Roger Wilson, Michael Allen and Craig Gilroy especially for Valentine’s Day! Calendars are priced at £10 with proceeds going to our Official Charity Partner, Cancer Research UK. HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Match tickets are also still available for home fixtures against Newport Gwent Dragons and Connacht. Get yours tonight to avoid missing out!

2. TRANSPORT: Why not try the bus tonight? For only £3.50 return, you can travel to Ravenhill on Translink’s exclusive - Metro Rugby Bus. The Bus departs Europa Bus Centre one hour before match kick off and picks up at Chichester Street (SS Moore, 55 minutes before) and East Bridge Street (Central Station, 50 minutes before kick-off). Park and Ride facilities are also in operation, located at Pirrie Park on the Ravenhill Road side of the ground and also on Montgomery Road along the Mount Merrion side of the ground (opposite Podium for Sport). There are plenty of car parking spaces available and free buses run constantly along these routes from 90 minutes prior to the game and 90 minutes after the final whistle.

3. PROGRAMME: The Ulster Rugby match programme will be on sale from 5.30pm in the stadium. The programme contains a special interview with Roger Wilson, Callum Black and Tom Court’s wife Cath, along with rugby news, team profiles, a Lavery’s beer voucherImage removed. and entry into a special Valentine’s competition ran by our Official Communications Partner, BT.

4. TEAM NEWS:  Round 14 of the RaboDirect PRO12 kicks off at Ravenhill later - Ulster is currently in third position, 13 points ahead of tonight’s opposition, Scarlets who are sixth. This season Ulster has lost just one game on home soil, against Glasgow in Round 2. The last time they met Scarlets won 17 points to 9.

Paddy Jackson’s inclusion tonight is one of four personnel and three positional changes to the side that defeated Ospreys at Ravenhill last weekend. Jared Payne moves from outside centre to fullback with Darren Cave reverting to his more familiar role at 13. Craig Gilroy continues on the right wing with Michael Allen keeping his place on the left.

Luke Marshall starts at inside centre alongside Cave, with Jackson at outhalf and Ruan Pienaar, who played his 75th game for Ulster against Ospreys, named at scrumhalf. There are no changes to the front row, where Tom Court, Rob Herring and John Afoa all start. Johann Muller captains the side from the second-row with Iain Henderson selected alongside him at 5. Roger Wilson moves across the backrow to blindside, with Sean Doyle continuing at openside and Nick Williams coming in at Number 8.

5. STADIUM UPDATE: The Touch-line bar located at the top of the steps between the Premium Lounge and the Family Stand will not be in operation this evening due to extreme weather conditions; however mobile Heineken vendors will be roaming the grounds for your convenience. For those with tickets for the West Terrace please note that the internal entrance and exit will not be operational this evening due to on-going construction work on the Grandstand, you may access the Terrace from either steps on the end.
