£6,000 Raised for Ulster Rugby Foundation at Blackwater Graphics BBQ

The Ulster Rugby Foundation was delighted to be selected as the charity partner for this year’s Blackwater Graphics annual BBQ.

Founded in 2007 and based in Comber, Blackwater Graphics is a design and print studio specialising in vehicle graphics, stickers, clothing and advertising. Each summer, their team hosts a hugely popular BBQ event and this year, they generously they generously chose to support the Ulster Rugby Foundation.

The event drew a record crowd, with an impressive showcase of slammed and performance cars, trucks, bikes, tractors, and everything in between. A wide range of classic and vintage vehicles were also on display, creating a fantastic day for motoring enthusiasts and the local community alike.

Thanks to the incredible turnout and generosity of those attending, an outstanding £6,000 was raised in support of the Foundation.

David Johnston, Head of the Ulster Rugby Foundation, highlighted the impact of this support:

“At the Ulster Rugby Foundation it is our mission to raise and distribute funds in support of amateur rugby development and lifelong participation in rugby.

“We were thrilled that the Blackwater Graphics summer BBQ this year was held in aid of the Foundation. This money will make a direct and lasting impact, promoting participation and providing playing opportunities in the amateur game. Most notably, these funds will go directly towards our three key focus areas: Women and Girls’, Youth, and Disability rugby.

“We would like to thank Blackwater Graphics for their incredible support and everyone who attended the event for their generosity.”

The Ulster Rugby Foundation is extremely grateful to Blackwater Graphics and the wider community for making this event such a success. Together, we are helping to ensure that rugby is a sport for all.  breaking down barriers, creating opportunities, and inspiring lifelong participation across the province.
