7 Ulster players named in Ireland starting XV for second test

The Ireland coaching group have named 7 Ulster players among the starting XV that will take on South Africa in Johannesburg on Saturday evening (kick-off 5pm local time / 4pm Irish time).

There are five personnel changes to the side that started the first Test and a further five new faces among the replacements.

Ulster captain Rory Best will lead out the side and is joined in the front row by Jack McGrath and Tadhg Furlong. Devin Toner and debutant Quinn Roux combine in the second row with Iain Henderson switching to the blindside flank to join Rhys Ruddock at openside; Jamie Heaslip completes the backrow.

There is a formidable Ulster presence in the back line as Paddy Jackson partners Conor Murray at half-back; Stuart Olding joins Robbie Henshaw in midfield; and Craig Gilroy, Andrew Trimble and Jared Payne make up an all-Ulster back three.

Fellow Ulster-man, Sean Reidy is named as a replacement and is set to make his first appearance for Ireland off the bench. The other replacements are Richardt Strauss, Dave Kilcoyne, Finlay Bealham, Donnacha Ryan, Kieran Marmion, Ian Madigan and Tiernan O'Halloran.

The final two Tests of the series will be broadcast live on SKY Sports. Visit irishrugby.ie and the IRFU's Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube channel for all the latest news, images and videos from Ireland's Tour of South Africa.
