Two Andersonstown schools are currently enjoying a six week block of tag rugby for the first time.
Ulster Rugby’s Community Rugby Coach for West Belfast, Roy Lawton, started delivering sessions to a P6/P7 class at Bunscoil Phobal Feirste and P7s at St. Teresa's Primary School at the beginning of January.
The children have displayed great skills to date and it is hoped they will be able to participate in multi-school tag rugby event on completion of the coaching programme.
This coaching has been made possible due to the generous support of the NI Executive and the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure through the ‘Promoting Equality, Tackling Poverty and Social Exclusion through Sport’ programme.
