Two evenly sides producing some very good rugby, in the cool sunshine at Meadowbank.

A yellow card against Letterkenny allowed Armagh to go into the lead with a penalty kicked by Cormac Fox, but Armagh couldn’t take advantage of the extra man. And Letterkenny equaled with their own penalty kicked by Peter Scott.  Despite some well worked attacks from both teams, the score remained 8-8 going into the break.

The second half was a battle to see who would break the deadline, both had their chances but good solid defensive work kept the scores level.  Armagh then were awarded a penalty, successfully kicked by Cormac Fox 11-8 on the score board. Letterkenny attempts to close off the game, needing just an unconverted try, were thwarted by time.
