Director of Sevens and Women's Rugby, Anthony Eddy has confirmed the Ireland Women's Sevens squad for the Canada 7s that take place in Langford this weekend (16th & 17th April).
Belfast Harlequins player Ashleigh Baxter is once again included, while Shannon Houston is the one addition to the squad that won the Bowl final against Japan at the HSBC World Rugby Women's Sevens at the Atlanta 7s last weekend.
The Irish team have been drawn in Pool C with England, Canada and Japan.
Speaking this week about both the Atlanta 7s and the up and coming Canada 7s, Anthony Eddy said;
"Winning the Bowl in Atlanta was pleasing for us, we didn't have a great start to the tournament on day one, but we made amends for that on day two and were happy with how things went.
Looking ahead to Langford this weekend, it's really about trying to build on our performances from Atlanta. The groups are always tough at the World Series, but we're hoping to keep on improving tournament by tournament.”
