Ballycastle Kids Take Part In Ulster Rugby Programme

Over the past number of weeks, pupils from Cross and Passion and Ballycastle High School have partcipated in a rugby programme provided by Community Rugby Officer, Shaun Bloomfield.

The students, aged between 16 and 18 years, were introduced to rugby through fun games and activities, culminating in learning the more physical aspects of the game.

Shaun commented: 'The boys thoroughly enjoyed the contact sessions. They demonstrated some very good skills and there were some big tackles! I hope this taster session will encourage the boys to get involved in their local clubs like Armoy and Ballymoney.'

This coaching input from Ulster Rugby has been made possible due to the generous support of the NI Executive and the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure through the 'Promoting Equality, Tackling Poverty and Social Exclusion through Sport' programme.
