The first of next Friday’s fixtures (8 September) will kick-off at 3pm, with the ‘A’ game set to see Ulster Rugby’s emerging Senior Men’s talent, and recent Academy graduates, link-up with several of the wider professional team for a game against Connacht Rugby.
Later that day, the Ulster men will be back in action (KO 5 30pm) against the Connacht Eagles in a match designed to give opportunity to current Academy players and players presently progressing through the Ulster Rugby Player Pathway.
With a mission to identify, develop and support the players with the most potential to represent Ulster and Ireland, the Ulster Rugby Player Pathway is a single system that recognises where a player is best placed within the different playing opportunities that exist across the province.
Building on strong foundations formed over the past number of years, which have produced players including Nathan Doak, Tom Stewart and Sadhbh McGrath, the Pathway increases the number of high-quality playing opportunities on offer to male and female players across the province.
Tickets priced at £5 for both games, with free entry for U18s, will be available to purchase at the gate at Ballynahinch RFC on Friday 8 September.
