Banbridge RFC have become the latest rugby club to achieve the coveted Clubmark Award.
Delivered by Ulster Rugby in partnership with Sport NI, the Clubmark Award recognises sports clubs that maintain high standards of welfare, equality, coaching and management.
Marc Eadie, Honorary Secretary at Banbridge RFC, commented:
“We are delighted to have achieved Clubmark. Our accreditation is the culmination of years of hard work to deliver a quality rugby club for our membership and the wider community. Working through the criteria has brought real focus to what we have been doing, and we are now thinking more strategically about the future of the Club. We also see Clubmark as the minimum standard we should be achieving, and we are already setting targets for other things we want to improve on in the coming months.”
Matthew Holmes, Club Services Officer at Ulster Rugby added:
“Banbridge RFC are doing an exceptional job, and their accreditation is well deserved. They pride themselves on setting high standards across everything they do and have an extremely dedicated and well-trained team of coaches and volunteers. Their work to achieve Clubmark has ensured their structures, policies and practices align to the needs of their members, with parents also gaining confidence that excellent systems are in place to ensure the safety, welfare and development of their children.”
