### Captain's Notes

Ballymena II captain, Peter Wallace.

How does it feel to be leading your team out at Kingspan Stadium for a cup final?

It is always a huge privilege to captain this side. We’re a really tight-knit group and we’ve worked hard all season, so I’m delighted at this chance for the team to represent Ballymena in front of our loyal supporters at the Kingspan.

Looking back at the Towns' Cup journey, what has been the most memorable match and why?

We’ve had some great games along the way, but I’ll always remember the semi-final against Dromore. After a very physical game, we’d gone 17-13 down with just minutes left on the clock and then, in the last play of the game, Matty Dick scored a wonder try to win it for us.

Enniskillen has a reputation for their physicality. How has your team prepared to meet this challenge?

We’re a powerful and skilful side with attacking threats all across the pitch. We have an excellent blend of youth and experience in the team, and we’re excited to play our style of rugby at the Kingspan.

This is the team’s first final in over a decade, what kind of work has it taken to get to this point, and what does it mean to the club and the town?

It’s taken huge commitment from coaches and players to get here. We train alongside the 1XV meaning there is always high-intensity and competition. The club and town are immensely proud of Ballymena’s rugby heritage and will be out en masse to cheer us on.

How does it feel to be leading your team out at Kingspan Stadium for a cup final?

It’s a nice feeling, these days don’t come around too often it’s been 5 years since our last towns cup final, a lot of very good players and captains before me from enniskillen never got the chance to play at kingspan so I definitely won’t be taking it for granted.

Enniskillen has come through some close matches to reach the final. What's been the key to your team's success?

I don’t think it can really be put down to one thing, we have a very young squad of players who have fully bought in to the process this year we’ve just taken each game as they come to us all season, there’s been a real feel good factor around the club which Ali and the coaching team has installed and it’s reflected back onto the pitch in our results.

What would it mean to you and your team to lift the Towns' Cup trophy?

It would be huge for the club overall, we’ve only won it 3 times in the clubs history and a bit of silverware after all the hard work that’s went on since last July would be a nice end to the season, although we know we have a huge task ahead of us with ballymena as they are a big club with a lot of history in this competition and a very good team from what we know.

What advice will you be giving to your team on the day?

Thankfully the lads don’t need to much said to them to get up for games, we’ll just focus on what we can control, our own performance and hopefully we come out the right side of the scoreline.
