Carrick win Ulster Carpets Club of the Month for May

Carrickfergus RFC have won the Ulster Carpets Club of the Month for May, in recognition of their performance throughout in the Age Grade Cups.

As a prize, the club received a bag of rugby balls courtesy of Ulster Carpets plus 30 tickets to an Ulster Rugby game at Kingspan Stadium.

It was an excellent year for Carrick Youth Rugby, with teams represented at all Age Grade Finals; the U14’s reaching the Ulster Carpets Youth Cup Final, the U16’s reaching the Ulster Carpets Plate Final, while the U18’s reached the Ulster Carpets Bowl Final.

Commenting on receipt of the award, Carrick Head Coach Neil Hanna said: “This award is a fitting tribute to our Youth Coordinator Mark Kidd and his team for all the fantastic work they have done throughout this year and previous years. I am particularly pleased for Mark to get this recognition as he is stepping down after 12 years of outstanding work, leaving the future of Youth Rugby in the club in a great position.”
