Volunteers from Rugby Clubs came together once again last night at Malone RFC to hear more about the option for Clubs to either register as a Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) or a Charity, as part of the Charity Commission legislation, Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008, updated 2013.
Clubs also learnt more about how to maximise their income through Gift Aid, a scheme enabling registered charities and/or CASCs to reclaim tax on a donation made by a UK taxpayer, effectively increasing the amount of the donation.
