Clubs prepare to 'Walk to the World Cup'

On Sunday past, participants representing twelve rugby clubs attended 'Walk Leader Training' at Portadown RFC.

The training, delivered by Wendy McDowell and Margaret Devlin-Hania from the Health and Social Care Trust, is part of the 'Walk to the Rugby World Cup’ programme funded by Public Health Agency.

Ahead of the 2019 Rugby World Cup, clubs and participants will take part in a joint challenge to walk the distance from Kingspan Stadium, Belfast, to the Nissan Stadium, Yokohama, Japan, which is 5,880 miles, or approximately 1.2 million steps.
