The host club invited clubs who were not involved in the latter stages of Youth Cup competitions to play for an U13s and U15s trophy, both kindly sponsored by Cavan RFC. Participating clubs were Carrick-on-Shannon, NUI Galway, Finn Valley and hosts Cavan. Carrick-on-Shannon won the U13s section and Cavan took the U15 trophy.
In the clubhouse afterwards an awards ceremony was conducted where Cavan Club President Kevin Jackson and Ulster Branch Community Rugby Officer Darren McGuigan presented Cavan Youth Player of the Year awards. The visiting club representatives thanked Cavan for a well run day and superb hospitality. Cavan Youth representative Mal Lowry, who organised the event, intends to make this a permanent event with more clubs entering in the future.
